I enjoyed my stay at the Shoes, the staff were warm and welcoming, my room was large and comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent and the overall cost of my stay was very good value given the proximity to Durham city centre. The Shoe is in a great spot for Durham city centre, there is a bus stop within yards and it’s a very quick and easy walk into the town centre.

Good breakfast for the price . Price was amazingly cheap , a no frills place , liked it , good beer , but too many lagers
