A jewel of a cottage. Set in a quite picturess village. Very friendly people. The pheasant. Woodpecker. Robin. Finch. Wood pigeon visited everyday. Every aspect for our comfort was considered. A card welcoming us, essential items in the cupboards including.tea. coffee. Milk. Sugar .salt. pepper. Oil. Tablecloth. Tea towels. Air freshner. Dishwasher tablets. Wood and lighters for the fire. Towels. Games. Books. DVD. CD. Excellent.

The location was fantastic, so many amazing walks straight from the door. The villagers were so friendly, from the post box pantry to the Stag Inn, everyone was just so nice. The shower was amazing, the kitchen was well stocked with lots of room for preparing meals and a great enclosed garden for the dog. Would definitely recommend to stay at Carwood!

Beautiful period cottage. Great location in centre of the village with excellent pub opposite. The kitchen was really well equipped and comfortable for x6 adults. Lounges, while small (cosy) gave the chance to have a room to suit the mood eg:tv room vs quiet place to read. Bedrooms were beautiful and beds very comfortable. Night time torch was a thoughtful touch. Bathrooms well equipped with great showers (although only bath in en-suite) Complimentary wine, biscuits and card made us feel welcome
