Amazing location but hotel rooms were a bit outdated. Room view was of a brick wall instead of the lovely canal we were on and room needed a bit of an update. However downstairs bar and lobby were lovely and you were a stones thrown from temple bar. Lovely bakery next door for breakfast.

My son’s wedding was in the city centre, so we decided to stay in the Clarence Hotel for two nights. It was a great decision as the location and facilities were perfect for us. We loved the luxurious rooms and the bars and public areas. I was also happily surprised by how quiet the room was, given that we were beside the nightlife area of Dublin. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay right in the heart of the city.

Gorgeous decor, really well located and great price. Had a bar cafe downstairs which was really nice - felt like a new york hotel in the 20s or 40s, loads of atmosphere and super clean.

First impression was excellent, the staff, the reception area and locality of the hotel was very good. We had requested a quiet room which was provided (room 301) there was no sound from outside nor other guests and the bed was extremely large and comfortable which made for a restful night sleep. There are a few negatives however, the standard of the bathroom was less than average and certainly not in keeping with the quality of the reception (or as seen on the photos) the decor was very drab, out dated, sink basin blocked, a polyester shower curtain (which stuck to your skin) there was numerous chip marks in the enamel of the bathtub and the tub itself was so narrow when you stood in it you couldn’t keep your feet flat and so felt slightly unstable.

Such a beautiful hotel!!!! Didn’t realise but it’s Bono’s hotel and it feels really glam. Super comfy and literally in temple bar so perfect location

Would highly recommend the Hotel. Great staff, very clean, got a great price. Would go back. Can get late checkout . It was lovely for a mid week stay. Plus they will mind bags..
