The fine print
Valid Passport (Non-EU citizens) or ID/Driver's Licence (EU citizens) is required from all guests to complete the check-in procedure.Credit/Debit card details will be asked for upon arrival as a security deposit to guarantee the hostel rules are followed during your stay. In case of any misbehaviour or damage, charges might apply.Age Restrictions: By Irish Regulations; guests between 8 and 17 years old are allowed when they are accompanied by an adult parent/guardian, but they cannot share rooms with other guests outside of their party; kids under 8 years old cannot be hosted, even in private rooms.Groups considerations:
For groups of 4 guests or more, a security deposit of €30 per person in one card transaction only is required.
For groups between 4 and 7 guests, the deposit is payable upon arrival.
For groups of 8 guests or more, the deposit needs to be paid in a payment link which will be sent to you two months prior to your check-in date, and you will have a maximum of 15 days from the time of its delivery to complete the payment, failing on the deposit payment may cause the cancellation of your reservation.
The deposit will be held until the check-out date; it will be non-refundable in case of a cancellation or a modification that reduces the original group size more than 50% within 1 month before the check-in date.The deposit is refundable upon check-out if the hostel rules were followed during your stay and subject to a damage inspection of the accommodation. There is a €10 charge for each lost/damaged key.Please make sure to return all the keys by 11 AM upon your check-out.Please note that any special requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.Please note that the reception closes at 6 PM and therefore your estimated time of arrival is requested in order for a late self-check-in to be arranged.

The beds were really comfortable, there is also quite a bit of storage space under the bunk beds which is good considering the room wasn’t that big. Having breakfast included was good to not have to worry about it. The lounge and kitchen are nice, big areas.

The hostel felt safe and the staff were welcoming. The kitchen upstairs looked really nice and had a good set up for longer term travellers.

The mattresses were high quality for a hostel and were very comfortable, the ladders and beds were not too rickety for climbing up and they have curtains, individual lights and sockets in each bunk which should be standard by now but somehow isn’t. There was a pleasant atmosphere and the location was good, close to St Stephen’s Green and in the now hipsterish Liberties. Great pint of Guinness in The Liberty Bell nearby. The kitchen was really clean and the common areas and balcony were lovely. Breakfast, if basic, was all you needed and a nice touch and I liked that the common areas were open all the time except when being cleaned. Appreciated the free 24/7 tea, coffee, hot chocolate and especially free milk! The fridges were unusually clean and nice and in general it was very well organised with clear signage, rules and labels for your things. Maybe there were more fridges and storage than other places have for the number of people? Generally there was a great vibe on the third floor with friendly guests and staff.
