Staying near Loch Ness felt magical from the second we arrived — but the log burner is what made it unforgettable. After days exploring the Highlands, coming back to that warm glow, the sound of the fire crackling, and the smell of burning wood was pure luxury. It wasn’t just cosy — it was cinematic. The setting was breathtaking. Mist rolling over Loch Ness in the morning, dramatic skies at sunset, total stillness at night — it felt like we had stepped into another world. You don’t just visit somewhere like this, you feel it. The cottage managed to be both wild and indulgent at the same time — rugged Scottish scenery outside, roaring fire and total comfort inside. It was romantic, peaceful, and genuinely restorative. It didn’t feel like a break. It felt like an experience you talk about for years.
