The fine print
Please notify Encanto Lodge of your expected arrival time to receive complimentary transportation. Reservations for meals at the lodge must be made at least half a day in advance. Please notify Encanto Lodge if you want lunch ($16 per person 13% VAT) or dinner ($22 per person 13% VAT). Breakfast is included. You can make a special request when booking or contact the property directly using the information on your confirmation. If you're arriving by car, we recommend a 4x4. Please be aware that Drake Bay does not have a bank or ATM. Encanto Lodge does not accept credit cards. Encanto Lodge recommends bringing cash for your activities. Advanced reservations are required for tours to Caño Island and Corcovado National Park. Encanto Lodge recommends bringing sunscreen, insect repellent, a flashlight, a raincoat, and rubber or hiking boots. We don't accept pets. Animal services (dogs) are allowed. Encanto Lodge advises clients to pack light because they must carry their suitcases approximately 70 meters from the parking lot to their room.

Payment before arrival via bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.

Out of this world! Sabrina and Edu are the most attentive, friendly and accomodating hosts. The room on stilts on their land was very comfortable, from which we could hear and see the wildlife. Rowing out onto the lagoon and to the beach was a great experience. Wonderful fresh meals overlooking the lagoon and sea at sunset were magical. We'd recommend staying without hesitation. Thank you.

Amazing stay. Would have stayed more nights if we could. The hosts were super accommodating and friendly, food was delicious and the lodge is stunning. We took out a paddle out on the canoe when we got there and there were some incredible views, we even got to see White faced monkeys!

I really loved my stay here. The hosts are incredibly sweet and helpful, and they genuinely make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. All the breakfasts and dinners were really, really good. I would absolutely recommend future guests to have dinner at the hotel — and if you have time, lunch as well, because that’s also excellent. Having dinner while watching the sunset is something special: it’s such a cute, peaceful setting. The property itself is huge and beautiful. You have access to kayaking, and during your stay you can see monkeys of different kinds, crocodiles, caimans, and so many birds. It truly feels like you have a little piece of the world all to yourself when you’re here. And as a bonus, there’s always a hike just around the corner — literally. A perfect place if you love nature, good food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere

Edu and Sabrina are knowledgeable, helpful, friendly. They're also Excellent cooks!! We had access to a rowboat each day to paddle the heron river which is on their property. The beach was long and practically deserted and we walked it each day. It was quiet and peaceful. Edu arranged our tours for us and provided Transportation when needed. We saw all kinds of wildlife. This was a 5 star experience for us in all ways and we highly recommend Encanto
