What a great place to stay in Bahía Drake. The cabins of Kalaluna are located centrally in Agujitas, just across the street from the beach. As there is not a lot of traffic, it was a very tranquil and quiet stay that I enjoyed immensely. I noticed that a lot of other accommodation is located up a hill, so was super happy to not have to carry my luggage far. The hotel team was super helpful and organised all tours/excursions for me (it had been difficult pre-reserving things directly with the tour operators as a single traveller), which all turned out wonderful. They also gave me tips for hiking on my own. I loved my little cabin ("Heliconia") with the beautiful artwork on the walls, set in the middle of tropical plants and flowers. The shady balcony and large window looked out over the bay and were great to watch colourful birds and butterflies right out front. The cabin was clean and very comfortable with a good bed, air conditioning and an en-suite bathroom with warm water. I enjoyed the breakfast each morning in the restaurant with views of the bay and the very friendly staff. Everybody spoke English well, but helped me practise my Spanish when I preferred that. Truly a wonderful stay in a beautiful place with lovely people. I have not regretted it for one moment, would definitely come again and can recommend it to everybody looking for a relaxed time in Bahía Drake.

Lovely clean and stylish room with a bay view from the balcony. We had excellent, generous service from the family who went above and beyond for us. The restaurant for dinner (worth booking!) was an absolutely delicious, creative italian/costa rican fusion.

The people running Kalaluna are very nice. Shirley and John made us feel welcome and taken care of. Chef Claudio cooked the most delicious italian meals! Location was perfect for arriving and leaving for all tours by boat, right at the beach where all the boats coming and going. Early breakfast option is nice.
