Good breakfast, and rather good dinner option, including smaller portions somewhat cheaper. Free and spacious parking. Fast access to motorway.

Checked in here after a long day on the road – and immediately felt welcome. The online check-in and prepay worked like a charm, the staff was genuinely friendly, and everything ran as smooth as the coffee machine in the room (which, by the way, came with proper Nespresso capsules and a kettle – no nonsense setup). The room itself was spotless and well thought-out: comfy beds, clean desk area, decent lighting, and a good-sized bathroom. Everything worked, everything was clean – just as you’d expect from a Van der Valk. Breakfast was the usual strong point – fresh, varied, and nicely presented. The restaurant and lounge areas look stylish and cozy, great mix of warm lighting and modern design. Only small note for housekeeping: in room 125, there are some dark sprinkles on the ceiling right above the shower that might be early signs of mould. Nothing dramatic, but worth checking to keep the place perfect. All in all: great hotel, great team, solid value. Definitely a place I’ll return to next time passing through the north.
