Neil Frazer “Perfect location but expect downsides of an old building”

Crown Hotel is right in the middle of Downham Market and therefore great in terms of walking round the town, a good few independent shops and a great bakery called Mabel near clocktower. Staff always welcoming and keen to help and there is a good choice of beers in the bar. Not eaten there so cant comment on food.

Staff are exceptional. It is a family run hotel, they know exactly who you are when you arrive and make you very welcome. You are shown to your room and everything is explained to you. It is a really quaint English Coaching Inn with tonnes of character.

The hotel is centrally located and close to shops and restaurants It’s a very old and historic coaching inn with a cosy bar and real fire. The staff and owner were very helpful and pleasant. A bonus is the on-site parking. We had an excellent breakfast but had to pay extra for it.
