“A wonderful stay, very generous and meticulous host, highly recommended!”
25 Oct 2023
Fabia and her niece, Marta, are really great hosts- very welcoming and helpful and responsive. The apartment is extremely thoughtfully and generously equipped - the most well equipped out of 5 stays we had on this holiday even though it was the most inexpensive. Often the start of a holiday stay means immediately going shopping - not so in this case as Fabia supplies everything you need to start your holiday well even including ingredients for a simple pasta meal, plus water, fruit, pastries.. Parking was super easy in their covered porch, there were even bikes to use If we wanted which we hadn’t expected. Everything was spotless and well maintained- it’s clear Fabia really cares that guests have a great experience. Walking into Donnalucata is easy if you don’t want to drive. Highlights for us were the very natural almost tropical feeling beach in Playa Grande (just 3 mins by car), and also the Aziz beach with the sand dunes at the other end of Donnalucata. Also don’t miss going to Scicli, especially for sunset - it’s a beautiful town and feels pretty laid back and authentic compared with some of the other more busy baroque towns.
