A very special place to stay, peace and quiet and clear light free skies at night. The lodge itself is well equipped, spacious and warm & cosy. Surrounded by stunning views and the owner was kind and friendly. Supplied us with fresh milk, tea and coffee and some chocolates for the kids on arrival. The master bedroom was massive with plenty of storage for clothes and belongings. All the beds had comfy mattresses and plenty of extra pillows and bedding if needed but with the option of central heating it was toasty enough on chilly early mornings. The log burner was a brilliant touch, my youngest enjoyed reading her books with a fire lit in an evening. Plenty of entertainment to choose from too. Lots of adult and kids books in the lodge as well as an assortment of boardgames for the entire family or a smart TV with the apps if we wanted a movie. My family loved their stay, being permitted to feed the alpacas and the horse was an extra treat we didn't expect that the children loved. We were lucky to see the micro moon and stars with our telescope we brought with us which was helped by the perfect location for it. John, who lives in the farm house up the way was a pleasure to talk to and made us feel at home but wasn't intrusive at all like some hosts can be. Top man. I'm from South Yorkshire originally but moved to the deep south western edges of England, it was a perfect stay that allowed me to visit relatives with the entire family and let my kids connect to their roots. I want to come back and show them more of what I grew up with in the future and hope that Tilly's lodge is available when we do come back.

Location was beautiful. Very quiet and peaceful. Lodge was very well equipped and spacious. Patio area provided great views over the countryside and friendly Alpaccas were grazing the fields. Easy walking distance to local village. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again we all loved it.
