Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the standards expected of a 5-star hotel. The one thing I genuinely appreciated was the location very central and close to everything. There are several malls and museums nearby, so if you’re visiting Doha and want to explore, the area is quite convenient. I arrived a bit earlier than the check-in time and was given a room straight away, which was nice. However, the room had a strong, unpleasant smell, which was very disappointing. The staff did respond by moving me to another room, but for a hotel of this level, this should not happen at all. On a more positive note, the staff guided me kindly on how to dress appropriately in this conservative city, which I appreciated and found helpful. I also received some assistance on arrival, though in a 5-star hotel, that level of service should be the bare minimum not a highlight. To be honest, for a Ritz-Carlton, I expected much more in terms of comfort, cleanliness, and attention to detail. The experience felt far below what the brand represents, and I personally would not recommend this hotel based on my stay.

We stayed for just one night at The Ritz-Carlton Doha and honestly, we wish we could’ve extended our stay—but we had to return to Riyadh because my husband had work. Our whole family enjoyed the experience, especially our two kids, thanks to the Ritz Kids Club. It’s a fantastic space for children aged 4–12, where they can do coloring and enjoy snacks if they feel hungry. It was a great bonus for us as parents! We loved the pool and beach facilities. The indoor pool is open until 1O PM, the outdoor pool until 8 PM, and the beach area is open until sunset. However, one suggestion: during the hot summer months, it would be nice if the beach area opened earlier, maybe around 6 AM instead of 8 AM, so guests can enjoy the cooler morning hours. The room was comfortable and had a beautiful view, although it felt a bit small. We appreciated the welcome fruits, which was a lovely touch. That said, we noticed that the soundproofing wasn’t great—we could clearly hear noise from the neighboring room, where it seemed like a small gathering or party was happening. It didn’t last long, but it did affect our rest for a while. Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating, and we truly enjoyed the breakfast at The Lagoon—great variety and quality. They also kindly granted our request for a late checkout at 2 PM, which we really appreciated. We also tried the spa, and it was a relaxing and well-equipped experience. Overall, it was a very memorable stay with a few small areas for improvement. We would definitely love to come back to The Ritz-Carlton Doha in the future!
