Fabulous place that is very homely. If I had to pick a negative it would be that my husband and I were eaten alive by sandflies and mosquitoes but that is an us problem and not the property. No one else seemed to be affected! The food was excellent and they were very accommodating.

It's right on the beach. Arranged an airport transfer with the hotel. Restaurant area and pool are nice with plenty of family dogs around. We had the half board and both breakfast and dinner were good and there was an abundance of food. The serving ladies are so sweet. The hotel can organise kite lessons. Also, the owner helped us find a driver for our excursions.

We had a lovely time at the Royal Sakalava! Everything was perfect and we had an amazing kitesurfing holiday. Lucas and his team were super friendly and always eager to assist and help. Excellent food, lovely location, excellent kitesurfing, comfortable and lovely rooms, very friendly staff, nice excursions / day trips .
