Everything was perfect. Very friendly host who also gave us some Starfruits to try from his garden. Can recommend this place.

Staying at Janaka's guest house is like visiting your distance family. Do not expect any particular luxury, but expect being among people that feel like family. Janata is an amazing guy, great chat, just because of him I would come back. The location is also great, very close to some great and cheap restaurants, and also the house is just a stone throw from the beach.

I ended up staying 6nights at Janakas House (Planned for 4) and had a fantastic time. First of all the family are really lovley and welcoming, they even had a cooking session with me after I went to the local market for groceries. Janaka had his birthday the day I arrived and invited not only me, but also older guest to lunch at his place, think that tells alot how familiar this place is!

Everything here has been absolutely amazing 🤩 The room was clean, bed was super comfy with fresh sheets and pillows. Janaka, his wife Ranjani and daughter Danuli are the kindest and most welcoming people we have met here. We played board games every evening with Danuli - and despite losing every time it was very fun to play 🎲 Ranjani makes delightful breakfasts, and it was something difference each morning which was nice, using fruits and spices from the garden, and they are very accommodating to preferences. Drinking water is provided at no extra charge, and we were able to do our laundry here too. The property is across the street from turtle beach, and a short walk from Dikwella, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops around. I honestly can’t fault this stay, it felt like home, we ended up extending our stay as we didn’t want to leave! I would recommend this place to everyone and look forward to returning in the future 💖
