The location of the property is ideal for the beach, restaurants and shopping all within 5 to 10 min walk. The property is peaceful apart from the neighbouring properties with dogs which wasn’t really an issue. Wonderful team always happy to help if you have a question or just a chat.

The Staff, particularly Maggie are lovely, super helpful and pleasant. Daily cleaning completed to a high standard, even including washing up if you need it. The setting is lovely, and we really liked the style of the rooms (Swahili)but don’t expect a swish hotel, nice and quiet side road off the Ukanda airport link road. Shops and restaurants also very close by, 2 mins by tuk-tuk (Havana bar, Carrefour etc) and walkable if need be. Lovely deep swimming pool, sturdy sunbeds with covers . Garden very pleasant, loads of monkeys and monkey business so be careful, they are super crafty, looking to steal, desperate for food. I Can’t remember staying anywhere where the cats welcome you home after a few days 😀. The outside areas are large and great for evenings, July visit, so little to no mosquitoes. The cats will sit with you if you like them too.. Fans in the rooms and the windows can be opened as fitted with mosquito mesh. AC is chargeable, we didn’t use too much, for example for us a 13 day stay, 13 usd. There is a separate meter for the AC unit only. Very well priced compared to other similar establishments so the AC being extra isn’t an issue even if used a lot in higher temps. Everything we needed in the kitchen, fridge, freezer, oven, microwave and the price also includes drinking water (not just little bottles) the large ones used in water stations, handy to not be trekking back and forth with heavy water daily. Also SMART tv with fire stick. Internet was excellent throughout, able to stream You Tube and movies on Netflix and Prime without issue. Overall loved the place so relaxing and already booked again for September. Hope the detailed review helps someone. Just remember it’s not 5 star, and it’s not priced as such, but it scores high in all the main areas, price, cleanliness, Internet, water, Smart tv, swimming pool, cold AC, and of course the staff. Highly recommended unless you hate cats, monkeys and bugs..

Staff has been very kind throughout the stay and the communication with the host has been very easy and smooth. The cottage is simple but very nice and has all the services you need including kitchen and wifi.
