Please note that the Standard Double Room with Shared Bathroom is located in an adjacent building from the main Formby Hotel Building, approximately 40 metres away.Please note that all accommodation, at both properties are located on the 1st floor with access via a staircase only.The Formby Hotel is home of the popular Central Bar and Restaurant – the bar is open with live music or DJs Friday & Saturday nights until 11pm and some rooms will be affected by noise from this on these evenings.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

Very cheap and the facilities are very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and in general the place is relaxed and peaceful.

Convenient location. Really helpful and proactive communication from staff, to ensure that I understood my booking. I had realistic expectations as I was looking for cheap accommodation for my family for one night before boarding the Spirit of Tasmania. It was basic but met our needs. There's a mixture of hotel and dorm/backpacker style rooms, with shared kitchen and common area. The beds were comfortable, and while I was a bit worried it might be noisy, it was quiet. It was an easy stay. I did try to avoid the creaky floorboards when people were sleeping, but it gave the place character!

Room was spacious and super clean, very comfortable beds and excellent facilities provided. The whole family slept very well which made for a great start to our Tassie holiday. We didn’t dine at the pub because we got in late and the kids were tired, but very convenient to have meals available onsite. Very short drive off the ferry and Maccas was a couple of blocks down for an easy brekkie. I wasn’t sure how family friendly it would be and there were quite a few backpackers but they were all quiet considerate guests.
