- location -pet friendly -peaceful -mosquito nets -shutters -bed (firm mattress and pillows) -simple check in -price A striking stone house (kind of like a hacienda) sits in a peaceful area not far from the lake. It’s surrounded by vineyards and tall trees on all sides, so it’s nicely hidden in greenery. You get there by a gravel road. The host probably owns or rents only this apartment, since a few locals live in the house too. Everything is functional and the bed is comfy. The kitchen setup is basic but works — two pots and pans do the trick. Sheets, towels, the toilet, and the stove are clean, but when you look closer... overall cleanliness could be better. With a bit of effort and a vacuum cleaner, things could look much tidier. The outside is similar — a bit in-between. The locals clearly don’t stress about it, so neither did we — we like it a bit wild anyway. Dogs are welcome, and there are always a few friendly cats hanging around the house too. Check-in and all communication are done remotely, which suited us perfectly.
