The fine print

First and foremost, the staff at this hotel are wonderful. A few in particular to mention - Andy at Ember, who looked after us so well. Rahman the nature guide who took us on such a great nature walk and was so enthusiastic and passionate about the trees and wildlife. And Attila who heads up F&B, who seemed to be in every restaurant at all times checking on guest experience. I was so impressed with their attention to detail. The room is beautiful, the bed so comfy, the bathroom gorgeous with a big soaking tub. The highlight of the room for me was the outdoor terrace which is huge and perfect to stay warm but sheltered from the sun in the heat of the day. The minibar is well stocked and complimentary, and little snacks are provided daily. Cleaning and room service was immaculate. Food was delicious in all the restaurants - we particularly loved the Nasi Goreng and Mee Siam Goreng. The breakfast menu was extensive and really good quality (the smoothies are delicious). We also loved the beach access and easy access from Singapore.

Our stay at the Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast over the Chinese New Year period was delightful. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made our festive getaway truly enjoyable. We came here specifically to enjoy the beautiful work by Kerry Hill Architects. We were particularly struck by the immaculate landscaping; the care and attention to detail are evident everywhere you look. A standout feature was the thoughtfully designed rainwater spouts, which allowed water to flow in a way that truly engaged our senses and connected us with the natural environment. Walking through the entire development offered a profound sense of serenity. It is the perfect place to wind down and recharge while being completely immersed in the lush rainforest and stunning seaside landscape. A huge thank you to the entire team for making this trip so memorable. Special thanks to Farid, our butler, who took incredible care of our every need and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was special. We look forward to returning to this coastal sanctuary soon!

The whole experience was good and I loved their breakfast. The hotel view was breath taking. Staffs were really kind and helpful. Cant wait to come back again.
