The room was amazing, inside a beautifully restored historic building. I paid extra for an upgrade, which provided a room with a bath and a room overlooking the canal. The location is excellent, close to the station and the main square. Note my comments about the uneven road surface resulting from maintaining the historic character of this iconic town.

The location of the hotel is excellent, with both the major sights and public transport within a few minutes walk. The building itself has been thoughtfully converted into a hotel, to maintain the interest and character of the structure. It was very quiet with minimal road traffic and we did not hear any noise from other rooms. Combined with an extremely comfortable bed, sleep quality was excellent. Normally we would opt out of hotel breakfast, but it was included in the room rate and it was excellent. We particularly like the fact that hot breakfast options were prepared on request, so always came hot and fresh. There was also a good range of cold meats, cheeses and savoury dips as well as a wide variety of breads, pastries, cereals and fresh fruit. All the staff we encountered, at the reception desk, in the bar and at breakfast time were friendly, helpful and thoroughly professional. We would definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity to return to Delft
