Overall, the apartment was very good and was spotlessly clean on arrival. The central location of the hotel can't be beaten. Mitchell St with all the pubs and eateries are literally just out the back door of the hotel and through a short arcade. The location of the apartment at the front of the hotel means that you don't get any of the Mitchell St noise either. The Darwin Waterfront swimming area is about a 20 min very pleasant walk away and the markets and the casino are less than $15 in a taxi (plenty of taxis on Mitchell St). The views from the balcony are very impressive. The hotel pool is good and is a handy pit stop when walking back from the Waterfront to the hotel. Collecting the room keys was easy once you know where the backpackers place is (again just out the back of the hotel, but Google it first). Apartment has everything you will need including a big fridge.
