You cannot review this, it’s them and the rest. 0 comparison. Next level location, food, ambiance, all in one. Atm in a really really good locations wich feels 10% compared tot them.

Definitely one of the amazing places to stay in Transylvania and more than probably the best one so far! Quality of food and creativity of the chef were extraordinary, the service was flawless (Roger is a true spirit of hospitality!) while the setup (rooms, design, attention to details, furniture and materials used) are at highest standards.

Bethlen is such an amazing find. When I was looking at Romania one of the first properties I looked at was Bethlen and it was based on the availability of this property that we booked the entire trip and it really didn't disappoint. The history, the service, the food and the location were simply superb. Understanding the background to the estate and seeing the restoration that has taken place and the attention to detail in the buildings but also in offering a luxury get away in the heart of Transylvania was simply amazing. Irena was so helpful before arriving as well and helped to organise trips to UNESCO heritage sights, truffle hunting and even wine tasting (Romanian wine is excellent!). We even had the pleasure of meeting the Countess which was fascinating.
