Staying here was wonderful. Nuwar's hospitality was truly extraordinary. We had many pleasant conversations with him and he was very careful and present everyday but always with great respect for privacy. He gave us lots of useful advice and constant small gestures of hospitality, as well as taking us on a beautiful tour of the surrounding farm area. He also arranged for us to go on a wonderful safari with an excellent guide. The hotel has a perfect location, close to Dambulla and just a few metres from the main road where you can easily catch a bus or tuk tuk. Clean rooms with great views of nature. Thank you Nuwar for making our trip even more magical.

The stay was great for us to visit rural Sri Lanka while traveling through the country, Ruwan was a great host taking care of all our needs and taking us on an agricultural tour as a local teaching about the village and all the plants, fruits found in Sri Lankan wilderness. As well as we went for a swim in Mahaweli river! Room is very clean and modern, we had also dinner and breakfast at the stay which was great, trying the local organic food we were introduced to earlier. Ruwan was very accomodating for all our needs during our trip

An absolutely outstanding stay on a peaceful and familiar place. The host and his family is so kindly helpful and provide us with a lot of interesting information about the country, culture and things to do. We loved the discussions with him and took the chance to learn about the Srilankian kitchen during common cooking of the delicious food with him and his family. His home is so lovely and well thought out, outstanding. Thanks to our new friend Ruwan ♥️

Best place where I stayed in Sri Lanka ! Amazing view with biiiig windows to enjoy from the room. Clean room..very close to bus station, droping you anywhere you want. Peaceful in the middle of nature and farm. You can come and do some cooking with the family. Very helpful host. I would not consider any other place else aroung Sigiroya and Dambulla. 2 nights or 3 nights. Amazing experience.

Ruwan and his familiy are really welcoming. It was great to make a tour around the village and countryside and learn more about the Sri Lankan nature. We had a great time and enjoyed the delicious food.

Ruwan is the nicest owner we've met during our trip. As he says it himself, it's not only a bed and a bathroom. He delivers a nice experience, meeting his family and walking with Ruwan through the area and getting info about all the plants and vegetables that grow there. We got a very delicious, home cooked dinner and breakfast. We stayed here for 2 nights, and visited the cave temple in Dambulla.

We stayed for one night and felt so welcomed by Ruwan. We had some great conversations and Ruwan provided us with great food and a tour around the country side. Best place if you want a quiet stay on the country side!

Travelling around Sri Lanka looking for an authentic , comfortable, peaceful, homestay with an amazing Sri Lankan family ? Look no further ! You will find it here ! Ruwan and family offer something unique. The view of the sunrise over the ridge starts your day , followed by freshly prepared breakfast , walks around the family farm, swimming in the river , learning about growing organic vegetables and fruit , waving and smiling with the neighbours then relaxing back in your cool (air-conditioned) room , waiting for dinner to be served. This place is a hidden gem. Ideally located to visit Dambulla Caves / Sigirya / Lions Rock if you want to get back on the tourist trail , but don’t rush to leave this idyllic paradise as there is much to learn from Ruwan and his family ! Flavours of Farm to Plate / Organic Food / Permaculture and wisdom past down from the generations before. The mostly vegan/vegetarian dinner is exceptional and generous. You will not be hungry ! Even a surprise birthday cake for my partner ! Ruwan shares freely and with an openess rarely seen. A generous man , with a big heart. You won’t want to leave.❤️
