The fine print
Please note that the hotel offers a boat transfer from Nha Trang to the island with a surcharge. Guests who wish to make use of this service are kindly requested to inform the property at least 24 hours in advance of arrival date. Contact details can be found on the booking confirmation.Extra person charges are inclusive of Breakfast but exclusive of Lunch and Dinner:

Guests with any dietary requirements are kindly requested to inform the hotel before departure.The hotel can arrange a roundtrip transfer as follows:
-Shared shuttle bus: Nha Trang - Bac Van Phong port, Dam Mon: 9:00am or 2:00pm, and Bac Van Phong port, Dam Mon - Nha Trang: 12:00pm or 4:00pm.
One-way trip price: VND460,000 per guest
-Private car: Cam Ranh airport - Bac Van Phong port, Dam Mon (3 hours) - One-way trip price: VND1,980,000 per car
-Private car: Tuy Hoa airport/ Tuy Hoa city - Bac Van Phong port, Dam Mon (1.5 hours) - One-way trip price: VND1,500,000 per car
-Between Bac Van Phong port, Dam Mon and Whale Island Resort, our boat transfer is complimentary and takes 15 minutes. Transfer hours: 7:00am, 9:00am, 11:00am, 1:30pm, 4:00pm and 5:30pm. Please advise your estimated time of arrival and preferred pick-up location for further preparation. Bac Van Phong port entrance fee is VND20,000 according to its regulations.

The road to the island is a little long, but it's completely worth the effort. Ong Island is beautiful, with crystal-clear blue water, giving a feeling of complete isolation from the hustle and bustle of Nha Trang.

I joined the cooking class at Whale Island Resort and it was one of my favorite experiences. The chef showed us how to prepare local seafood dishes, from cleaning fish to balancing flavors with fresh herbs. I loved chopping lemongrass and tasting sauces straight from the mortar. It wasn’t just about cooking - it was about understanding the local culture and ingredients. By the end, we shared the meal we had prepared together. A true hands-on memory I’ll keep forever.

Although small, the island offers a wealth of exciting experiences: snorkeling, jungle trekking, kayaking, and relaxing on the beach.
