Incredible incredible place - we felt like we had stepped back in time! The place is so beautiful that there were quite a few photoshoots happening at the entrance. The hotel is also located in a quiet alley with lots of interesting looking restaurants and shops. I was pleased to see a very modern bathroom despite the well-preserved original exterior. Breakfast was absolutely delicious (with local and continental options available) and it was served in a beautiful glasshouse. The staff were so kind and friendly, they fetched us (and our bags) from the main road as cars can’t enter the alleys, and they also arranged for scooter rental when we wanted to go to Erhai Lake. For those who can’t speak Mandarin, the receptionist speaks perfect English.

The hotel is located in an old traditional Chinese house, the atmosphere is very calm and peaceful. It’s located in a quiet little alley away from the chaos of the main road. The staff is very sweet and polite, they helped us with our luggages and to arrange us transportation. I highly recommend it for a true local experience.

Very nice old house renovated in the very heart of Dali. The place is quiet and relaxing. We loved it. Our recommendation: the hotel is located in a pedestrian zone, so there is no possibility to arrive by taxi. Be sure to have the phone number of the hotel to have someone fetch you at your point of arrival with the taxi.

Location - convenient to explore the old town with plenty of shops and restaurants. Unique - staying in the historical home. Cosy - lovely and warm home stay. Full amenities, and great service by the team.
