This is a historical parador: the place is full of charm and ideally placed to visit the old Cuenca or go walking in the sierra around. They have a great restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. There is an outside swimming pool - great in the summer, with nice views; but probably cold in the winter...

When we arrived there were building works going on inside and outside the front of the Parador. If we had known in advance we would not have stayed. However, we were offered an upgrade and the staff did all they could to help. Restaurant was lovely as we had our evening meal there on the night of our arrival. It is an experience and I would recommend a visit even for just one night. A very beautiful Parador.

The hotel is absolutely breathtaking on your ride up to the hotel, and we had a stunning room overlooking the bridge into Cuenca
