The breakfast was standard for a South American hotel but fresh. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the old town. The room was enormous and comfortable, and extras were easily available, eg blankets and a heater when it became cold. But the thing that made this hotel the best of our South American trip was the young staff. Nothing was too much trouble, they were kind, helpful, and friendly. They bailed us out of a sticky situation when we messed up our bus tickets, brought us trays of coffee whenever we wanted, were mines of information. We loved our stay and can’t recommend it highly enough. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

I loved all of it. The satff were very polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The concierge attendants David and Erick were very willing to answer any questions and made many suggestions whenever needed. Mauricio, another of the front desk help, perhaps a bellboy, helped with my suitcases since the hotel does not have an elevator. The kitchen staff from the chef Monica to the server Nicole they were all very accommodating. A big THANK YOU to them all. This can be expected with most early 1900s buildings. This is a historically sound edifice with amazing rooms and vistas. I recommend it highly. The family size apartment is magnificent. With a cornerview of Cuenca.
