We enjoyed everything, it was an authentic experience, while feeling comfortable. The house is very cosy and well looked after by Mr Niculita who was very kind to my children.

We loved Nenea Niculita and his help with showing us how to traditionally get warm at the countryside. The garden was beautiful and getting to know the history of Criț was a pleasure!

The small village is really nice and quiet. People in the village are polite and smiling. The staff at Schmidt House is helpful and nice. Check-in and check-out are later than mentioned on Booking. We chose a room on the ground floor, facing the street. Really nice decorated, all vintage and dressed up with good taste. The bathroom is very generous, well equipped and facing the courtyard. Bed is really comfortable and the room was chilly enough, though outside it was quite hot during the noon. The restaurant is 5-10 minutes walk, near the old church. Breakfast was good and offering a wide range of cheese and local ham, vegetables, eggs, local jam, fresh juice, coffee and home made bread. Lunch and dinner are limited, but really tasty and made with local products. Good wine range in the menu and beautiful landscapes on the terrace. We really enjoyed spending the weekend there. Rupea and Viscri are really close and deserve a visit.

It has a really nice backyard with chairs and a table underneath the grapevine and it’s usually quiet and relaxing during the day. It’s a 5 mins walk to the fortified church and Casa Kraus where you can eat or have a drink. The food there is good but average and the breakfast was fresh and enough to start the day. Staff is really nice.
