ms140663 “Enjoyable 3 night stay in compact but perfectly adequate accomodation”

We stayed in the property for 3 nights returning from a Conference. The proprty is rural and slightly off the beaten track, but it is by no means difficult to find, or access, there is an off road parking space dedicated to the property. The property is situated within the owners garden, adjacent to their home, however this in no way impinges on ones privacy, whilst we saw the owners around, they were by no means intrusive, and were helpful. One review above mentions a fusty smell, and paints a fairly negative picture of Tree Tops - We certainly could not detect any of the things mentioned within that review - everything was fine. The Bed was OK. I have a very tender left shoulder from a historical sports injury, and t.b.h. woke up 3 days pain free - which is rare. The Property was not "over equipped" - however it had everything which you might need for a 3 night stay, so long sas you are happy to live simply, which we are. That said WIFI was good, and the TV, which we only used for a couple of hours at most was ok, with good reception, and if films are your thing - a good selection of DVD's! The Garden is very tranquil, and has lots of trees, shrubs, and is a great place just to "be" - sitting in front of the pond reading was very relaxing. There is a very good variety of birdlife, which you can sit on the stable door and see clearly. Plenty of walks around the area too. All in all this was a very good and perfectly adequate property which was well presented, and clean. That said .... and this is where it gets tricky, because there are a few practicalities, however they are not becuase of any lack on the owners part. The property is small and compact, and I have come away with a bruise on my hip from trying to fit in the gap between the wall & vanity unit which has the WC in it! Granted I am a fairly hefty 18 stone, be aware that if you come with a wide load sign you may struggle a bit here! All in all a very enjoyable experience.
