Please note that Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge is located in 1600 km of wilderness. Because of the properties location, mobile phone service is limited (Telstra is the only service provider with network coverage in the area) and in-room WiFi is not available due to transmission issues to the cabins. Your room does not have a TV. TV is available in the Tavern, which is open from 11:30 daily. Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. The legal guardian must provide a current photo ID or proof of guardianship if requested upon check-in.

The positioning of the Lodge is excellent in as far as you can do many short walks there before you head off to do the longer walks. The shop was well stocked with food for day hikes.The staff were all excellent all around. The downfall was the rooms are looking very tired even though well stocked but the worst aspect of our stay was the food. We had booked into their main restaurant and thank heavens we did a search and after reading the criticism booked ourselves into Cradle Mountain Hotel where we had a really good meal. We ate at the tavern the first night of our stay after cancelling their other restaurant and the food was very ordinary. Tasteless and overpriced.

The room was comfortable with a gas fire keeping the place nice and warm. Quite unusual staying in a room with no TV and no WiFi but oddly relaxing. If you needed WiFi or wanted to watch TV you just needed to go to the Lodge. It was nice to be able to take some of the short walks around the property without having to drive anywhere. The bistro is the best place to get a meal.

Great position and the chalet was very roomy and warm. The staff - mainly backpackers - were fabulous-keen and helpful.

Location, comfortable bed, spacious room, gas fire place, cleanliness of room, coffee pods and machine, directions on the pamphlet, excellent short walks about the property, bistro tavern good meals and friendly staff, closeness to ranger station for bus to cradle mtn.
