Sahil, in the office provided exceptional customer service. I cannot say enough good things about him. The inn is undergoing renovations so he offered us the option of an oceanfront view in one of the older rooms or a newly renovated one. He was happy to show us both. In the end, we chose a renovated room as we where only staying one night and it would be dark by the time we returned from dinner so a view didn't matter. The room was very comfortable and was equipped with a fridge, stove, coffee pot and a few dishes. The bathroom was completely updated and provided lots of towels and toiletries. And despite the construction work going on the next morning, the room was well soundproofed. It may not be considered a romantic place to stay right now, but with the ongoing work the owners are doing I have no doubt it will be in the future. We were there to kayak so it suited us perfectly. Sahil even made sure we had a good spot to park the truck with the kayaks, and the launch was right across the road!

Great base to tour the southern part of the island - Cowichan Bay is a lovely spot to stay. We spent 5 nights here. Michael was a brilliant host. Happy to offer help with bags, a source of good advice on local amenities and further afield, free bottles of water or sodas - always available and willing. The kitchenette was well appointed with crockery, cutlery, pans, a big fridge freezer, a kettle and a toaster. Spacious room with a balcony and a sea view :) Cowichan Bay has lots of options for an evening meal, a general store/post office, a great bakery and an ice cream parlour. The harbour is home to a group of sea lions and we also spotted an otter.

Very friendly staff welcomed us and provided excellent recommendations for an evening meal. Room was well appointed and setting overlooking the bay was first class.
