Really lovely staff, very welcoming on a rainy night. Pub was obviously very popular and we enjoyed our evening meal

Excellent bed & bathroom. Wonderful breakfast , very amiable breakfast chef. Cleaning lady works like a Trojan !

The whole property was very clean and extremely well run. It has a wonderful position overlooking the Solent and the sunsets I’m sure would be wonderful viewed from here, but sadly we didn’t have the weather for that on this February stay. We did spy a red squirrel on the front terrace on our last morning however. We found all the staff very friendly and helpful. We ate at the Woodvale on both nights of our stay… the menu was extensive and varied, so choosing something delicious wasn’t a problem. Our breakfasts were also plentiful and excellent! Martin, the chef, who we met on a few occasions, clearly has a passion for his job and takes pride in everything that comes out from his kitchen. We loved our little stay here, and will definitely be going back.
