The location was perfect for what we wanted. We were looking for relaxation, peace and quiet, but with plenty to do for the kids. This exceeded our expectations. The location was ideal, with stunning views across the fields at sunset. There was a great bakery and supermarket just a couple of minutes drive away, as well as canoeing (which we did twice, we loved it so much) and fabulous walks. Marieke was a wonderful host, so welcoming and ready with lots of useful information for us. Plus the delicious plum jam and home grown tomatoes and courgettes were an unexpected bonus. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped - everything you could need was there - you could even whip up a cake if you really wanted to! Would not hesitate to recommend.

Lovely location with magnificent views, although close to amenities. Very comfortable gite and very welcome pool. Exceptionally friendly host.

We had the most incredible stay at Ferme La Geneste, all thanks to the amazing host, Marieke! The beautiful house nestled on the edge of 12 acres of picturesque land was an absolute paradise. We were spoiled for choice with fruit picking opportunities, and the refreshing pool provided the perfect oasis on a warm afternoon. Marieke's impeccable taste in restaurant recommendations ensured our taste buds were in for a treat, and her knowledge of the best wild swimming spots added an adventurous touch to our getaway. Exploring the nearby towns was a delight, with plenty of activities to keep us entertained. What truly set our experience apart was Marieke's thoughtful gesture of sharing vegetables and melons from her garden – a true farm-to-table experience that added a special touch to our meals. Traveling with our dog and one-year-old baby was made effortless, thanks to Marieke's warm hospitality and attention to detail. Our hearts are full of gratitude for the unforgettable memories we created at Ferme La Geneste. Marieke's genuine care and dedication made this trip an absolute dream. We can't wait to return to this haven of tranquility and create more cherished moments. We will be recommending this stay to many friends and family!
