This place was a very nice surprise. We stayed only one night, but we had a great time. Mija was very welcoming and caring, and she took time to tell us about this old building and its history. She kept old stuff from the past of this place, so it still has its soul. Knowing she made this place an " artist residency," you can meet different people in the different communal rooms. We met very nice people and had a very nice time. The bedroom and bathroom were really lovely and clean. It's directly located in the town centre so you can walk everywhere in Coutances. The place is surrounded by beautiful churches (including a beautiful cathedral), nice shops and restaurants (and a very nice gallery just one minute walk from the Miséricorde). We highly recommend this place if you wish for a different experience than just being in a hotel room.

Great place for a short stay. Super helpful people who explained parking rules. Unusual place with bags of history. Short walk to the town centre, shops and cafe.
