We stayed in the studio looking out over the forest towards the ocean. The bath is cantilevered into the trees and the kitchen facilities are superb. The hosts. left beautiful bread, honey, fruit compote, savoury tarts and muffins etc etc. A short distance into town and almost adjacent to the Driving Creek Railway, an experience not to be missed.

Excellent stay at the Buffalo Lodge. I was welcomed by the host with fresh baked cookies. I stayed in the studio. I loved the decoration and looking at all the small details that made the place so cozy. Bed was very comfortable and heated. The bath tube was amazing! I can only recommend this place.

Exceptional and very special stay in Coromandel Town! Peaceful surroundings, stunning lodge with lots of relaxing communal areas including a wood burner that was lit for us each night along with beautiful panoramic views (especially enjoyed from the deck at sunset). Delicious breakfast & lovely hosts. An excellent base to explore the coromandel from - would definitely recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay in Buffalo lodge. The building is so beautiful, with stunning views from the deck, and you have the benefit of being close to Coromandel town whilst also feeling very secluded. The breakfast served was delicious, homemade with local ingredients. Special mention to Kerry (sorry if I have spelt your name wrong!) who looked after us so well and was a lovely sunny presence in the morning. The owners have gone above and beyond with making this a comfortable stay, and the location is excellent for accessing some of Coromandels best spots. Could not recommend this place enough.
