The property was beautiful. Loved the fact that it had an open fire! Everything that you could possibly need for a holiday. Super comfortable beds.

Amazing stay at Melkington Lodge. The property is stunning inside and out with fantastic views from the garden across fields to the Cheviots. Inside the property it has been furnished to a very high standard with wonderful period furniture and pictures throughout all the rooms. The hamper that was left for us was filled with delicious local produce and was a lovely touch.

Perfect location for a short family break. Very quiet and peaceful, tucked away on a private farm road surrounded by fields and trees with fantastic outlook to the Cheviot. Very comfortable, cosy and welcoming, with a generous welcome basket and limitless firewood. It's an old, solid traditional building that's comfortable in its own skin - our much preferred type of accommodation - yet still very well finished and maintained to a high standard. Comfy lounge and sofas with the big fire and lots of books and games provided. WiFi is slower than some but perfectly adequate for our needs and streaming to the smart TV. Kitchen generally had everything we needed for preparing family meals. The kids also loved the tennis court which you can use. Location ideal with country walks from the door or loads of nearby sights to explore within a 30 minute drive. All in all a lovely stay.

Beautiful grade 2 listed cottage. Everything was good. The single beds in the second bedroom were too soft and could go with replacing. We loved the views, the birds and the garden. The cottage was very well equipped.
