We loved the calmness and home feel of this place. The operators were absolutely wonderful! Their kindess and willingness to make our stay as comfortable as possible was invaluable. They truly understand how to make your experience unforgettable as if you have a home away from home. The birds are active in the area, dozens of hummingbirds. The green spaces are beautifully taken care of and a delight to use. The front desk gentleman has a real passion for what they do and is incredibly knowledgeable about local spots. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet lovely time away in a scenic rainforest space. Be sure to inform them early about your plans for breakfast and dinner so they can prep for it. Food and local coffee they use is so flavourful! What a treat.

We thought the couple and their daughter running it were exceptional. They were so friendly and helpful. The evening meal we had ( trout fillet and veg ) was perfectly cooked and we had a special Easter caramelised coconut dessert with icecream which was truly delicious . The best stay of our Costa Rican holiday by far .

We loved the amazing setting of the little cabin, the abundance of nature around it (plenty of hummingbirds), the great views, the good food and above all the friendliness of the owner. And I got to see a quetzal thanks to the owners great advice and good contacts!

We loved Curuba Lodge. It was such a gem on the hillside- the whole place was so looked after and cared for. The gardens were pristine and the little touches like adding herbs to the water in the games room was lovely. The owners were a local family and so friendly and helpful. We asked them lots of questions about local foods and they couldn’t have been more helpful. We saw many quetzals with a local guide. Breakfast and dinner was delicious and had ‘happy eggs’ and local cheese which we really appreciated. Couldn’t of been better- would highly recommend. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.
