Each individual dwelling has a fully functioning fire place, its own terrace with hammocks and deck chairs, and feels like a little oasis away from the world. The beautiful architecture and design are stunning - you feel like you’re in a Gaudi park in Barcelona! The staff couldn’t be more accommodating or work any harder - they are constantly watering the lush gardens, doing amendments and repairs to the grounds and houses, and being on hand generally to help with anything you could wish for. I was in search of some milk for a cup of tea and was provided with an entire jug by the most helpful person (who understood that an English girl couldn’t possibly go without a cuppa before bed!). The little touches are also endless - free postcards to send home, a lovely living area with cooking facilities, unlimited firewood, tea coffee etc on hand in every room, free luggage storage for anyone going to Isla del Sol! It’s been paradise and I wish we didn’t have to leave.

A beautiful stay in Copacabana. Staff are incredibly kind, the view is incredible and it's such a treat to relax in the sun with the alpacas. Also a few giant hummingbirds hanging around! Close walk into town (though up a hill which is hard with the altitude) and lakefront. Had everything we needed and the fireplace was a real treat.

This is a little paradise by the side of the lake. Firstly - yes, it is more expensive than most places here but you do get what you pay for. You will save money on everything else in Bolivia. I was very ill after drinking an api in La Paz so the peace and tranquility here was just what I needed to get well again. The cabins are small but very cosy and comfortable. Central heating AND a stove with free firewood every evening, lead to each night being very cozy. The staff were very friendly and there was also no messing around with different exchange rates for once, which was a big plus! The view is amazing and there are plenty of places to sit and relax around the property. I would ask that please, PLEASE do not go around grabbing the llamas by the neck as we saw some guests doing. So selfish. They are not toys for your enjoyment they are wild animals that are scared.

The Sultan Suites apartment was just fantastic! The Sultan Suites and the Olas share the same common spaces and walking around the apartments and the rooms feels like being in a fairy tale. You can see alpacas walking around, you have a great view of the town from the balcony and the staff help you lighting the fire pit in the apartment every night, that makes it warm and cosy. We spent every night home because we loved staying inside and enjoying the view and the apartment. Really recommend!
