“Superb”

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming guest house nestled in the heart of the Lake District. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome by our attentive hosts, who went out of their way to ensure everything was just right. Their hospitality struck the perfect balance of being warm, genuine, and never intrusive. The guest house itself is full of character and brimming with little touches that make it feel like a home away from home. Our room was spotless, cozy, and had stunning views of the surrounding hills – waking up each morning to that scenery was pure bliss. Breakfast was a real highlight: locally sourced, delicious, and served with care. Whether it was offering helpful advice about walking routes or making sure we had everything we needed, the hosts were always one step ahead. We left feeling refreshed and well looked after. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful stay in this beautiful part of the world.

“Welcoming, comfortable and brilliant breakfasts”

Really looked like an old rectory with lots of character. Beautiful old china scattered throughout and solid furniture. Such welcoming hosts and the extra touches of cold water in a fridge in the room, fresh milk for tea and flapjacks. A lovely little decanter of sherry with two pretty sherry glasses - hadn’t drunk sherry in years but it was delicious as was the very tasty and beautifully cooked breakfast.

“Absolutely lovely”

The property was very beautiful with a very lovely room where we were staying. When you look outside you have a beautiful view of mountains and fields and that gives you this wonderful feeling of peace and tranquility . The service was absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed how welcoming and helpful the hosts were with everything. The breakfast options were plenty and all of it was very well prepared. Overall a great experience, so if you want to visit Coniston - this is a great place to stay at!
