Having a dishwasher was a bonus and finding a few dishwasher tablets was good too.

The ability to book several chalets close to each other for an extended family weekend away worked well for us. The fact that two of the chalets had enclosed outdoor space worked well for keeping our dogs safe. There was a canal within walking distance that we were able to go for walks along. It was only a 10-15 minute drive to Macclesfield train station which was helpful as some of our group came by train. Each chalet could accommodate up to 6 people in three bedrooms.

The lodge was comfortable and well-furnished. It was very suitable for families with children, as there’s an enclosed outdoor space and a highchair. It was away from road traffic, being located on a quiet country road.

So relaxing. Hot tub was perfect. Loved getting up early and sitting in it with a cuppa, listening to the birds singing.
