The hotel is old fashioned and has an interesting decor. The surrounding area is beautiful and it’s a reasonably short walk into the town where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. You can catch a bus to the beach from town.

El Foyu is a quiet rural hotel. We were only there for one night but enjoyed it. It is 5 minutes by car into Colunga where there were some places to eat at night as the Foyu restaurant is closed for the winter, The hotel had some lovely antique furniture. We slept well and the room was a good temperature. Breakfast was plentiful and the staff were friendly.

Wow such a beautiful place to stay after a long day on the Camino. The staff were great especially 'El Jefe' who made us feel welcome and told us all the history of El Foyu. The room was very comfortable and the bed just perfect. The restaurant was exceptional we had lunch and dinner both were delicious. The staff at the bar were very efficient and friendly. Breakfast was just amazing such a wonderful buffet with great coffee. The host was very friendly and helpful. We would love to have had 2 nights here. If you have the chance and you feel like some luxury then this is the perfect stay. 5 stars for El Foyu!
