The hotel is in a historic building, about a 10-15 minute walk from the Cathedral. We stayed there based on recommendations. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the "medium" room I stayed in was quite basic. The lobby and common areas looked stylish, but the room was very simple. There were no toiletries like toothpaste or a toothbrush, and the room slippers were very thin, almost like paper. I was also surprised that there was no complimentary water in the room. Cologne was very cold in February, and the heating in the room was not enough for me—I felt cold. The bathroom looked nice, but it was not very practical because water collected on the floor. Overall, it is a good hotel, but for the price, it did not fully meet my expectations.

This is a wonderful looking hotel from the outside and very well located, being about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Cologne. Staff are friendly and the room was a decent size for 2 people, with a great bathroom.

Beautiful historic building. Art collection. Peaceful and attractive square, central location. Comfortable room with minimalist vibe. Generous breakfast served by cheery staff.
