If you expect to arrive after 18:00, please inform Jugendherberge Köln-Deutz in advance.When booking a bed in a dormitory room, please indicate your gender, as the dormitory rooms are single-sex rooms.Please note that the hotel's private parking spaces are limited.If you are not a member of Hostelling International (HI), you must purchase a membership card upon arrival at the hostel. The card costs €3.50 per night.German residents aged 26 and under must become members of the German Youth Hostel Association (DJH) for €7 per year / €3.50 for six months.
Older guests and families pay €22.50 per year / €11.50 for six months.

As others have said, a surprisingly above average hosteling experience. It’s a very family-friendly place, rooms are basic but comfortable, and the staff are welcoming. There’s a secure garage to store bikes underground,

The location is super. They provide a nice breakfast and it is possible to rest comfortably just in 5 Minutes from the Deutz/messe station. For a moderate budget it’s a perfekt balance between money and comfort. I definitely can reccomend it and I would stay the second time as well. The staff is very friendly.

Room was clean, bed and pillow not comfortable, Breakfast was basic, location was good as it was next to the train satation,
