Great hotel, staff is welcoming and professionnal. I checked in at 8:45pm and someone was there to welcome me. Room with a double bed has quite some space to put your stuff, and bathroom was fine and clean.

Beds were quite firm. A bit far from the main sights but easily accessible with public transportation. Everything else was good. The room was clean, we had everything we needed.

Hotel Arena is a nice family owned and run hotel in a small quiet street near a shopping center and a couple of streets with lots of small shops and restaurants. We like the neighbourhood. The old city is 2 kms away, but S-bahn and U-bahn are at a 10 minute walk. We always travel by train to Cologne, but Hotel Arena also has its own parking-area. Arena is clean, efficient and practical. If we sleep in Cologne, we always stay at Arena.
