For the first time in our lives, we spent the night in a tower room on the third floor of a castle. From there we had a view in three directions. The next day we visited Colditz, which is interesting not only because of the Allied POWs that were held there.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The meals were very good and the breakfast which was included in the price was great. We stayed in the Schloss which is set in a lovely green secluded garden. The restaurant was cosy and the meals were very generous.

Lovely old building, comfortable room. The restaurant was excellent and the people were charming and helpful. This little hotel is a real gem.
