Our stay was great overall, but a bit unique since we had no contact with anyone, which I think was because we visited during the off-season. We didn’t get breakfast and had the house to ourselves, which wasn’t a problem, but we also didn’t have access to the kitchen. The accommodation is a bit far from the bus station, and getting there with our luggage was tricky, as the path was like a woodland trail without asphalt. It would be much easier if you have a car. The room itself was fine, and the facilities were great—similar to a hotel. We had a small fridge, but no utensils like forks or knives, which made it a bit uncomfortable to eat in bed, especially since the dining room was closed. There was only one table and a chair in the room. The booking process took longer than expected and was a little tricky, but in the end, everything worked out, and we got our security deposit back. The location is great if you have a car, but it wasn’t easy for us to find the place. Although the map showed it close to the bus station, it was the street that was close, not the house, which was actually the last one on the road. On a positive note, when we ordered food online, the couriers were able to find us after a quick call. The place itself was nice, clean, cozy, and very quiet—just what we needed after a busy period. We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back to Colares. The community is friendly and welcoming, and I’d recommend this stay for longer periods, especially if you have a car.

This place is amazing! So peaceful, so quiet, so zen - we really enjoyed our stay. A great escape to routine. The swimming pool is a big plus for hot and sunny days. Breakfast is also great and served to the sounds of nature on Youtube :)

Secluded place. Very quiet and peaceful. We stayed at the Casa do burro. The apartment was cozy and suitable for a family of 4 (2 kids) The farm animals are very nice for kids.
