Good things celebrating my grandsons 5th birthday were that the children enjoyed the pool and he was brought a piece of chocolate cake at breakfast. The food in the restaurant was good but it was too late for a 22month old and just 5 year old to eat at 7.30pm when the restaurant opened. On the second day we had to eat A La Carte in a very formal restaurant which had terrible acoustics and once again not appropriate for children. I had booked a standard twin room and. Superior room with pool view but I was not shown to them. We were offered another room which was nice but it had been described to me as Standard with pool view as it had twin beds rather than a double. The staff were apologetic but the hotel manager was not prepared to make any financial concessions and I paid over E800 so it wasn’t a cheap hotel. He said we in a Superior room as we were given robes and could use the free mini bar although my family don’t drink . I had also been charged an extra E26 over and above the price quoted by Booking.com. I was told this was for children’s menu which has been introduced after I booked , so they offered to give me a Credit of this amount Not a refund. I feel the hotel did the minimum they could and I did not want not make a fuss as it was a special occasion for my family to celebrate my grandsons birthday so I just accepted it.

Breakfast was really good. The hotel is located near the city centre and we could use the swimming pool.
