Such a warm welcome from the owner! The house has bags of character and is a wonderful piece of history- unique to stay in a 19th century house! Cosy, warm rooms and comfy beds. Delicious continental breakfast in the cafe and top coffees included, NZ cafe standard. Powerful, hot shower in immaculately clean bathroom. Clyde itself is charming, quiet, quaint and friendly. Free parking provided off road, behind the hotel.

The attached cafe (run by the same folk as the hotel) is open for breakfast and lunch with a great variety of food on the menu as well as a selection of slices. The home made lemon, honey and ginger was very tasty. The interior of the hotel was like stepping back in time tastefully decorated to the period and the stair case is something to see. Overall a nice stay with fantastic hosts who were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and will stay there again

The management team and staff are amazing! Lovely breakfast, coffee and ambience. We purchased baked goods to takeaway from the cafe too which were very nice.
