Historical hotel with a large reception and lounge. Room had a bath and there was complimentary breakfast. Helpful staff

The young woman who greeted us at the reception desk was friendly and accommodating. The hotel was easy to find, there was plenty of parking, there was a very nice lobby, and there were nice historical photographs in the hallways. When we checked in, we asked for a room on the ground floor and were given one, but it was obvious that it had very recently been painted and the window could not be opened for fresh air. I had to go back to the front desk since the door would not open; I found that it needed a strong push, as it had nearly been painted shut. Since we were staying for only one night, we didn’t ask to be moved. The torn shower curtain should be replaced, but otherwise we liked the historical room very much.

It was a very nice place, staff was friendly and it was pretty clean. I found out it was "hunted" a little before I got there and was excited to see a ghost, we asked staff how true it was and he even showed us a paranormal investigation that was done in 2009 which I thought was fun! I would definitly stay here again!
