We travelled for a 2 night mini honeymoon after our wedding. It was the perfect little unwind after the high. We originally looked at booking the PIG, but my god their prices have increased - and was nearing a grand just to stay there for two nights. We decided to book this place instead which is close by and based on the reviews I am so glad we did. Cannot fault this place. In a very nice end of the Cotswolds. Beautifully decorated, the room was lovely, with a big bath in the room. Tastefully done with costwolds stone but still modern and cool not dated. Whole place is nestled on the edge of a pretty brook. Everything was very premium and luxury. Verden toiletries, nice coffee, nice tea, little additional luxury touches. Premium, quality finishes. The farmhouse restaurant was lovely. On the first night we had an amazing roast then woke up to a delicious premium breakfast which was included in the rate. We didnt get round all the faciliaites, I am told there was a spa which we didnt use and I dont think is a full spa but as a small facility I think its great they offer something. I could see the dining pods and outdoor area which looked very cool. The staff were professional and fantastic. Nothing was too much. Great location, and is well situated for some other great Cotswolds pubs like the New Inn and The Stump. Lovely walks nearby. The overall feeling is generous and comfortable but still sustainable and not wasteful. The pantry is good as you can help yourself if you need something extra but if you dont use it then its not wasted. A good idea. I would hurry back here for sure - it was the PEFECT MINI HONEYMOON.
