Beautiful and very relaxing place in the Douro Valley with great views. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast and small pool.

What a beautiful relaxing place to stay. The staff are attentive and helpful. We arrived at 3pm and were able to have lunch and a drink on the patio enjoying the views up and down the river. Our room was very comfortable and clean with a large sliding door out onto a deck from where we could enjoy the views and a welcome drink. The pool was nice and refreshing to swim in after a day exploring. Breakfast was really nice with cooked on demand option of eggs and bacon along with a continental selection. The bed was comfortable with lovely bedding on it and the bathroom was very clean and serviced daily. Hint - it is difficult to find places to eat in the small township during the week that are open, we chose to eat in two out of three nights, the food was well cooked and tasty but not spectacular and on par with everything else in the area price / standard / recipie wise.

The location was beautiful. The rooms good - although no coffee and no water as standard. Modern architecture. Lovely pool area. Very homely feel . Lovely young men running it. The gardener was working so hard. Hats off!!

Everything felt luxurious from the moment we stepped through the front door. The view’s from the Terrace and our room were spectacular across the valley and down to the river and exceeded our expectations. Clean, extravagant well thought out room that we didn’t want to leave, wish we could’ve stayed a lot longer. We took full advantage of the on-site chef and the evening meal was fantastic as was the breakfast the following morning more than we could eat. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
